After a career in transport operations at Eddie Stobart and Maritime Transport, Matt transferred to truck sales to help set up Secondhand Trucks in 2005. Since then, he has been promoted to General Manager, Fleet Sales with responsibility for all ex-Maritime vehicle sales. As a hands-on vehicle operator, Matt understands the requirements of truck buyers and giving customers the right solution for their business every time.
Having been with the company for 20 years in an operational role, Paul made the transition to Secondhand Trucks in June 2018. We were in need of an additional person to look after sales given the number of trucks being sold and Matt was sure he didn't want a "Salesman". Paul brings with him a wealth of knowledge about the business and can talk operations with our many customers. A trait far more important that simply selling a truck. Paul has made the transition seamlessly and with the close guidance of Matt, will continue to learn and further hone his sales technique.
Having been a Class 1 driver for 13 years, Sean joined Secondhand Trucks in 2015 as part of the Preparation Team. Since joining, Sean has become an integral member of the team taking on more responsibility and now looks after all trucks from the moment they come in to us, overseeing each step of the preparation process through to when they leave us. Dealing with the Service Bookings, arranging Mot Tests, Paint Shops, Liveries, Alloy Wheels etc all form part of Sean's day and with his thorough approach in the preparation of each truck ensures nothing is missed and each truck is in as pristine condition when they leave us.
Having served in the Air Force for seven years, Valentin joined Maritime Transport Ltd as a driver before transferring across to Secondhand Trucks when the opportunity arose. Working alongside Sean, his standards and commitment serve both us, and our buyers, in a way that only helps us achieve and maintain our position as number 1 for used trucks.
Having worked for one of the UK's leading supermarkets Phil was looking to further develop himself. He joined us in the spring of 2019 and has grown in confidence as time has gone on. He has always enjoyed the customer facing side and this is evident when our customers come to view and collect their trucks. Phil takes great pride in ensuring all trucks are presented in first class condition and his eye for detail and keenness to make sure things are correct make him an outstanding member of the team and one that we're very pleased to call a colleague.
Natasha or "Tish" as she likes to be known, joined Secondhand Trucks in the spring of 2018 following a brief career with Wincanton. Since joining Tish has taken on the mantle of managing our social media platforms, customer testimonials and website content. Working closely with Mel, she makes up 50% of the administration department which, with her keen attention to detail, means everything is in order and ready for when our customer come to collect their next truck and she is a very valued member of the team.
Like Tish, Mel also joined us in the spring of 2018. Having worked in a customer facing role for a number of years Mel is perfectly placed to handle any enquiry whether this be arranging a private registration, or liaising directly with our customers to discuss documents and taxation of their truck. Working closely with Tish, Mel controls all service records, ensuring each truck has a complete up to date history as well as invoicing and dealing with funders. Always busy, yet always smiling, Mel is a welcomed addition to the team.
