L & SJ Summers Ltd is a general haulage and crane off-loading contractor based in Derbyshire, trading for over 53 years. Originally in the market for a new truck, owner, Steve Summers, came to Secondhandtrucks having realised he could have two nearly-new Mercedes units at a better price than buying one new.

Due to being messed around by a local dealer whilst attempting to purchase a brand new Merc unit, I decided to look elsewhere and contacted Secondhandtrucks and was very impressed with the help and advice which was at hand. I was still keen to purchase Mercedes and a plan was put in place to consider two used units at a cost which was at a considerable saving of my original budget for a single new truck.

Within a couple of weeks the two trucks, which were a credit to both yourselves and the previous driver, arrived in our depot 150 miles away, taxed, full years MOT, painted and looking as new.

I can honestly say that in my lifetime career in the haulage industry, this has been the easiest purchase I have ever made, with myself and both drivers being delighted with the end result.
